Chinde is a city in Central Mozambique. Chinde is a port city, that was originally developed by the Sena Sugar Estates Ltd. Modern infrastructure was built in the 1950s. There are wide paved roads and brick buildings. However, as a result of the civil war, the city has fallen into a state of disrepair.
Chinde is a town in Mozambique and a port for the Zambezi valley. It is located on the Chinde River and is an important fishing center. It exports copra and sugar and had a population of 16,500 in 1980. Chinde lies in Chinde District of Zambezia Province.
