Sahiwal (ساہِيوال‎) is a city in the Punjab region of Pakistan. With almost 390,000 inhabitants (2018), it's a major regional city in the densely populated area between two rivers: The Sutlej and the Ravi. Sahiwal is a large city with a few interesting sights, but it's also an important transport hub for the famous nearby archaeological site of Harappa.

Sahiwal (Punjabi and Urdu: ساہِيوال), formerly known as Montgomery, is a city in Punjab, Pakistan. It is the 21st largest city in Pakistan by population and the administrative capital of both Sahiwal District and Sahiwal Division. Sahiwal is approximately 180 km from the major city of Lahore and 100 km from Faisalabad and lies between Lahore and Multan. The city lies in a densely populated region between the Sutlej and Ravi rivers. The principal crops are wheat, cotton, tobacco, legumes, potato, and oil seeds. Cotton goods and lacquered woodwork are manufactured.
