Saravena is a city and municipality in Arauca Department, Colombia. It is 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) south of Colombia's border with Venezuela. The area of about 47,000 people near the Venezuelan border has had FARC and ELN activity as well as a Colombian military presence.It is served by Los Colonizadores Airport.
